AS I LAY DYING Announce New Album Details AND

 the details of their upcoming release Decas and the "A Decade of Destruction" tour; both coinciding with the band's 10-year anniversary. With over 1,000,000 units sold in the U.S. in just less than 10 years, San Diego metal act AS I LAY DYING will celebrate this milestone with the very special release Decas, available November 8 in North America, November 7 in the UK & Europe, and November 4 in GAS. Decas celebrates the band's accomplishments by offering three brand new songs, cover songs that pay homage to just a few of the bands that have influenced AS I LAY DYING, and remixes by INNERPARTYSYSTEM, Benjamin Weinman, Kelly "Carnage" Cairns, and Big Chocolate.

ANIMALS AS LEADERS Releases New Album Details...And Names a Song After Me

Good news, I have yet to get in trouble at school for wearing my rad A Life Once Lost shirt with a marijuana leaf on it. Oh, plus Animals as Leaders released new album details.
All this AaL talk is making me saucy, so lets read in on this.
The album was produced by drummer, Navene Koperweis and ANIMALS AS LEADERS, and mixed by guitarist Javier Reyes. As said before, the album is scheduled for release here in the states on November 8th, and will ensure the fact I will die happy. The song names and track orders are listed below.

CANNIBAL CORPSE Finally Enters The Studio

CANNIBAL CORPSE enters Sonic Ranch studio in Texas with producer Erik Rutan Cannibal Corpse has begun recording their twelfth studio album at Sonic Ranch studios Texas with producer Erik Rutan. The band ha spent months writing the album and has recorded at Sonic Ranch in the past, but nev with Rutan at the helm. More details on the album, including art, songs, title and more w be revealed in the months to follow. For now the band is hard at work forging their next death metal offering.

Animals As Leaders New Album will be called "Weightless"

Instrumental progressive pioneers (aka, sex gods) ANIMALS AS LEADERS have set "Weightless" as the title of the group's sophomore album, due to be released by Prosthetic Records this fall. The group, who wrapped up their inaugural U.S. headlining tour earlier this month, recently kicked off their first-ever European tour, which sees them as direct support to the Deftones tonight in London. They will kick off an extensive North American tour alongside Between The Buried And Me on Oct. 27. A complete list of upcoming dates can be found below or at the band's Facebook page.

The band's music expands on the already vast array of attributes that come with a progressive metal band. With sounds ranging from cluttered grind riffs paying tasteful respects to Between the Buried and Me, solid heavy riffs to bang your head to and peacefully structured ambient passages that soothe you just in time for another full-on attack of the senses, this band does it all with precision and originality. DECIBEL MAGAZINE commented, "These guys have the polished chops of lifelong shredders and a compositional sensibility that many older progressive metal musicians would gladly sell their ponytails to attain."

Their lyricism and overall vibe from the instruments give their tunes a certain futuristic, other-worldly touch that only heavy-hitters in progressive metal, such as Cynic, can pull off. This is a major sign of a band that knows their music inside and out, and makes the wait for "Astrodrama" seem worthwhile.

REVOCATION - CHAOS OF FORMS REVIEW by Sebastian Wheeler?

Hey guys! I'm helping David out here while hes away doing some tour interviews and getting all professional like with the higher ups.SO he threw me a bone and this bone was REVOCATION and I have to say its mighty tasty.

Straight off from the first track "Cretin" and to the last track "Reprogrammed" it had me going.
I've never been a fan let alone a listener of Revocation BUT this album has indefinitely changed my mind!
The Drums are reminiscent of thrash bands such as Slayer and Evile, The vocals do remind me of the old school hardcore bands such as Agnostic Front and a bit of G.G. Allin and The Murder Junkies, The Guitars and Bass really reminded me of Trivium gone apeshit and actually becoming angry along with some At The Gates elements.

The overall equalization of the album is phenomenal in my opinion.Everything can be heard at all times during the album.The guitars are thick,crunchy,and clear as day,The bass is glassy and thundering, the drums are heavy and pop loud and clear,The vocals are perfect,not too loud nor too quiet.

The only downsides I can come too are the fact that it does run into itself with each song.There isn't any definition as to where one song ends and another begins on a few areas of the album.Overall thats the only downside!

I give this album a 4.5 out 5! and strongly recommend it to ANYONE who loves metal or hardcore.
