Though the california metal scene seems to be dying, one band of It's own has made music no matter the death.
All Consuming Flood are a Brutal Death Metal/Death Core band from Ontario, California, who worship Mr. Jesus himself and make some brutal tunes. Rob of the band has fortunately agreed to interview with us. Here it is: All Consuming Flood


Metal in Ruins:  You guys have grown alot as musicians since your early work, what do you think helped you guys grow?

 MIR:  As a christian band, how do you try to keep your lyrics sounding fresh and stay in the boundries of what you want your message to be?
       Rob:  experience. like for me, i didn't even atemp trying to do vocals till Acf needed a vocalist... then i taught myself. and the more we play together as a whole, the easier it gets to make music. but the most important thing is that od gave us everything we needed to pursue this, and we are blessed with that.

MIR:  now it seems that the music scene is dying out, what keeps you motivated to move forward?
           
       R:  Well, i don't care about the music as much as the message. we play more church events than actual shows. but still, scenes come and go... we still are gonna play the music we love no matter what

MIR:   What's been the craziest show experience so far in 2011?
     
       R:   Well, I write all the lyrics with God. I go into my room with my bible and i just pray and read until God gives me the message that he wants me to write about.you planning to record anytime soon? What sound should we expect if you are?

MIR: You planning to record anytime soon?  What sound should we expect if you are?
    
      R:  We just finished recording our new EP and it will be released at our glasshouse show March 26th. and our sound has kinda changed, we are trying to put a litttle of everything we love. I don't know how to describe it, but its the heaviest material we have come up with.


MIR:  Why did you shave your beard????
    
     R:  For the ladies ;D hahahah jk. idk, just got kinda sick of it
